Bairns continue home comforts

Falkirk leapfrogged visitors Raith in the table as a 3-1 success secured them a third straight home league win.


Striker Craig Sibbald notched his second goal of the season to give Falkirk an early lead, Conor McGrandles fired home a second midway through the first half and Stephen Kingsley added a third six minutes into the second period.


Raith substitute Greig Spence struck a consolation for the visitors in the 73rd minute.


Sibbald headed home Falkirk's opening goal following Kingsley's pinpoint cross and midfielder McGrandles doubled the home side's lead in the 25th minute with a neat right-footed finish.


Defender Kingsley then got on the scoresheet six minutes into the second half when he slammed home Mark Millar's ball into the box as Falkirk cruised into an an unassailable lead.


Spence pulled one back for the visitors with 17 minutes left from inside the box but Falkirk notched their sixth home league win of the season.
