Raith 1-1 Dunfermline- Match Report

Spoils shared in Fife derby

An Andrew Geggan goal salvaged a point for Dunfermline in the Fife derby, as they held Raith to a 1-1 draw at Stark's Park.

The midfielder drew the visitors level in the second half as their winless run in the league stretched to five games.

The Pars had won the last four meetings between the sides prior to this, but it was Rovers who came flying out of the blocks as they controlled the opening half an hour.

Grant Murray's side were rewarded for their dominance with 39 minutes gone when a left-footed strike from Greig Spence found the bottom-right of the goal from six yards.

The hosts appeared to be in control until a ball into the Rovers box was headed down by Ryan Wallace into the path of Geggan, whose right-footed shot beat David McGurn to maintain Jim Jefferies' side's play-off push.
