A superb strike from Moussa Ouattara earned Raith Rovers a deserved share of the points against Ross County at Victoria Park.

It looked bleak for Rovers when Alex Burke gave County the lead in the 15th minute.

County failed to kill the game and man of the match Ouattara scored a tremendous individual goal to earn the draw.

Burke opened the scoring in the 15th minute when he got on the end of a sweeping cross from John Robertson to tuck the ball away from six yards.

The home side almost doubled their lead three minutes later when a Don Cowie corner was headed inches wide by Sean Higgins.

Raith almost took advantage of a slack back pass from Martin Canning but Stuart Garden raced out of his goal to boot clear as Ouattara raced in on goal.

Rovers almost drew level in the 42nd minute when Ouattara stuck a fierce shot from the edge of the box, which rebounded off the inside of the post and away to safety.

County should have gone 2-0 up in the 65th minute when Cowie was presented with an excellent chance in front of goal but David Berthelot turned his shot round the post for a corner.

The home side were rocked six minutes later when Ouattara made some space for himself outside the box, and the Burkina Faso international unleashed a superb shot that finished up in the top corner of the net.

Raith could have snatched it at the death when Shaun Dennis headed narrowly past, then substitute Hamed Sacko also came close to a winner in injury time but his close-range shot was cleared off the line by Canning.
